1. Overview

This machine is designed to produce carbon steel frames for solar panels. Compared to aluminum frames, carbon steel offers a cost-effective alternative while maintaining structural integrity. The line integrates PLC control, automated punching, servo-driven cutting, and adjustable roll forming modules for efficient production.

4. Operation Steps

Step 1: Material Loading

Load carbon steel coil onto the uncoiler. Adjust tension to prevent slack during feeding.

Step 2: System Initialization

Power on the machine. Initialize the HMI interface. Input desired profile length, hole positions, and production quantity.

Step 3: Punching Configuration

Configure punching patterns via the HMI screen. Servo system will automatically position and punch as the material moves.

Step 4: Roll Forming

Once punched, the material enters the roll forming station. Rollers form the profile to the desired shape.

Step 5: Servo Cutoff

The flying cutoff system matches line speed and makes precision cuts without stopping the line.

Step 6: Collection

Cut frames exit onto the output table. Stack manually or connect to an automatic stacking system if available.


5. Maintenance Tips

  • Regularly check and lubricate rollers and cutting blades.
  • Inspect punching die wear and recalibrate as needed.
  • Clean dust and metal debris from sensors and the control panel.
  • Back up control parameters via HMI/PLC interface monthly.

Q1: Why choose carbon steel over aluminum for solar frames?
A: Carbon steel is more cost-effective and provides sufficient strength. It can be galvanized for corrosion resistance, making it a suitable alternative to aluminum in many installations.

Q2: Can the machine produce different frame sizes?
A: Yes. Length, hole positions, and punching patterns can be set via HMI. Some profile changes may require roller adjustment or replacement.

Q3: What is the punching accuracy?
A: ±0.5 mm, thanks to the servo-controlled punching head.

Q4: What if the cutting is not aligned properly?
A: Check synchronization between the servo feeder and flying saw. Recalibrate the position sensor if needed.

7. Safety Guidelines

  • Always wear gloves, goggles, and safety boots.
  • Do not reach into the roll forming area during operation.
  • Emergency stop buttons are located on both sides of the machine.
  • Only trained personnel may adjust the punching or cutting systems.
